breischaft Posted July 13, 2020 Posted July 13, 2020 I have lost all Zwave nodes, likely due to power supply failure a couple months ago. finally around to diagnosing and fixing. I cannot add (or remove) any devices. trying with an Aeotec Siren 5. I have several which form the backbone of the zwave mesh in the house so schlage locks can work. I have factory reset the siren and moved within 2 feet of the isy, for as much troubleshooting ease as anything. cannot get to connect. admin console is waiting but never sees anything. So I did factory reset on zwave dongle. I'm already committed to rebuilding the whole network as it would not restore from backup. event viewer says factory reset is complete. also then did firmware update, to assure I'm on the latest. lots of address verifying and then "cannot go into programming mode" ---same error I got when trying to restore backup. Most of my previous problems have been self imposed, and I'm more than willing to eat some humble pie this time as well. But I'm stuck, and need help. Ideas?
breischaft Posted July 13, 2020 Author Posted July 13, 2020 just 're-updated' and now both show 5.0.16C
breischaft Posted July 13, 2020 Author Posted July 13, 2020 trying z wave update again. popup says: change of state failed:SID not found [uuid:0] Z-wave command failed [ZWave 15 upgrade Z-Wave Firmware ]

breischaft Posted July 14, 2020 Author Posted July 14, 2020 Thought about that. But I get the same error when trying to restore from backup - cannot go into programming mode and shouldnt there be a different error if its because of version already up to date?
lilyoyo1 Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 I don't know what error you would get. Never attempted to update outside the initial update from years ago. I just know the only zwave board update was released 5+ years ago
