I am not really a new users, well I wasn't until the Weather Ended, and now my Mobilinc Subscription is ending Again.

I have a lot of Insteon devices and have moved somewhat to Alexa enabled devices, and of course lost my weather.

What iPhone app/service/software would you recommend to fully integrate:

  Current Insteon Devices

Schlage Z-Wave Door Lock (yes i have the Z-Wave module installed)

Alexa Bridge (to allow my programs to control Alexa devices, and Alexa to control my Insteon devices)

Integrate weather back into my irrigation control.

I read where there is a new style of MobiLinc: MobLinc X, or MobLinc Connect.  I also have read about Polyglot.

My seeming simple goal is to be able to program control for all of my devices, integrate weather back into my programs for irrigation, and be able to control devices, and run programs from my iPhone.

I just don't want to Re-Up MobiLinc without some feedback from others who have similar integrations.

Thank you!

Load Home Assistant on a RPI4, connect the ISY99 to it, and download the FREE IOS or Android App and never pay subscriptions again.   HA will integrate all of those devices and more and present it to you in a nice interface you can customize called Lovelace!

Load Home Assistant on a RPI4,

What a great suggestion!  I've been using OpenHab for about a year, and recently moved it from my Windows Machine over to my Pi with my new PolyGlot.

My goal is to get away from MobiLinc too, as I can't justify the price after it keeps going up so much every year.  I'd love to get away from a cloud platform, and work locally.  I notice that my devices are responding much faster now that I've been moving away from MobiLinc.

Home Assistant is WAY more user friendly than OpenHab   Love what I see so far...   Hoping to get rid of OpenHab now, as it's just too complex/cumbersome for my needs..

Currently my set-up on the Pi4 is all running (and working well):

- PiHole for DNS filtering

- OpenHab for integration with MobilLinc Location Awareness to trigger Xiaomi Mi Vacuums and reboot Cable Modem if Internet goes down

- PolyGlot with Weather Services to replace old Irrigation Logic

- HomeBridge for Apple HomeKit integration [linked to Alexa to replace old Mobilinc Alexa Integration]

- NEW: Home Automation - Hoping I can consolidate some of these tasks!!

Seeing that ISY and HomeBridge isn't under active development, and has quite a few bugs in the current implementation, I'm hoping there is an active community/developer for the ISY/HA integration.

Thanks again!

As a matter of fact, one of the developers of the ISY / HA integration floats around here on the fourms and is very responsive on GitHub on his codebase.    Home Assistant uses a Supervisor (based on Balena Cloud) which is basically a manager that controls docker containers behind the scenes.   The advantage of all of this is that you can reboot an application or home assistant itself, but the zwave software won't reboot and your zwave network will continue to operate, grab data, update MQTT, etc all the while HA reloads.   The only reason to ever reboot your Pi4 is if you update the supervisor or base OS.   You'll find HA releases new updates every two weeks, and most of the developer community is very engaged in the development.   Matter of fact a Native MacOS app was just released this week that takes advantage of the notification system in Big Sur.    The IOS app even works with the watch to let you build your own button's to trigger events.    I've even connected a PLC controller with ModBUS into HA to monitor some hardwired sensors.   It's taken me about 4 months to learn the system, and with new features being released every two weeks, I'm not sure I'll ever begin to scratch the surface.

Enjoy!
