outsider Posted October 20, 2020 Share Posted October 20, 2020 Just upgraded my YSY-9994i UDI Admin console to Firmware 4.8.0 & UI 4.7.3. As part of my trying to work with the console to resolve some issues, I ended up looking around and found the Tools -> Floor Plan menu item. Clicking on it does nothing. Searching the forums, I found that this option had been inoperative for some time. So, why is it still part of the UI? Are there plans to revive it? if not, why is it still there??? Link to comment

Its not part of 5.0 so it has been removed. Being that your firmware and UI do not match, that could be part of your problem. With that said, I haven't used 4.0 in years so I dont know what's in the 4.8 menu 1 Link to comment
outsider Posted October 20, 2020 Author Share Posted October 20, 2020 I had assumed that when I choose my last update it ended up as the 'latest', but apparently not and now that I am actually looking for the 'latest', I am having issues finding it. When I search, I find a forum post, 4 pages long, which starts with an update for z-wave, which I don't have and it looks like it is intended for a 'paid' update. I suppose things have been going too well for me and I have lost touch with the upgrades. But IMO, it should be a bit easier to find out about such things. Seem for other software, it is much easier to find a 'download ' page, with all the details about what versions are available, which are free, or free for the current major version, .... For my ISY this seems to be quite different, and I have had no luck now that I have looked for it Link to comment

It is easy to find. There's a subforum called Current Releases, betas, and bug reports. That's where you'll find everything. The latest release is the very first post. There are 2 official releases. The first is the 4.8 and 5.3. I'd say 95% of the posts on here for the past year or so is based on 5.0 stuff. Edited October 20, 2020 by lilyoyo1 1 Link to comment

Thank you for getting me to do a more thoroughly search for a link, though, I still think it ought to be easier to find in a more central location. MrBill Posted October 20, 2020 Share Posted October 20, 2020 @outsider if your using windows, please follow the instructions in the first post of this thread: If you're using MacOS I believe that is supposed to work but many people report it's better to use the version packaged inside the ISY. Series 300 Z-wave dongles have a BLUE LED on the BACK of the ISY next to PORT A. (If it's not lit shine your phone flashlight on the spot). Series 500 dongles have no LED. Series 300 dongles in the admin console show firmware version 4.88 when viewed Z-Wave -> Advanced -> Z-wave version. a 500 series dongle reports firmware version 6.81 instead. Link to comment

When I click on the the current releases subforum, 5.3 is the very first link for me. It gives all the pertinent details of the firmware and then the link to it. Link to comment

EVictory Posted December 2, 2020 Share Posted December 2, 2020 To find the latest firmware version, do the following: Open Chrome browser to forum's home page at: https://forum.universal-devices.com/. The sixth grouping down is titled 'Current Release, Betas, and Bug Reports'. Click on this link. The resulting page shows the latest firmware versions. Currently the latest version is 5.3.0. Click on the 'Release4 5.3.0 is now available' item. (Version 5.3.1 is a test version if you want cutting edge.) The resulting page has information about the latest release, including links to download the latest firmware. There are two versions of firmware for different ISY hardware configurations.
