rowland
Thanks for the info. You never know when SH will do the right thing. But, I should've checked first. It may not be field upgradeable but Smarthome will let you swap it out for an upgraded one at no charge over and over again as new firmwares come out. Link to comment
Mark Sanctuary
One caveat is that you have to have purchased it from them directly otherwise you have to work with who you bought it from. Most of the sellers of the PLM will also trade them too. Link to comment
Michel Kohanim
mdcastle, As far as I know, 56 still works at 75% but device communication errors could be of two kinds: 1. Signal Stregnth issues which are usually addressed by adding an AccessPoint on top the PLM 2. PLM non-responsiveness So, 56 and above have solved #2 and it's very promising. With kind regards, Michel So does 56 still have the low output power problem or is that fixed since it is more efficient? I kind of get the feeling the standard Smarthome "white brick" form factor has become an issue for them as they never got the PLC to run in standalone mode with the funtionality the market expects, and now having to throttle back the PLM power because of heat buildup.
