robin71
Hi, Last night the power supply on my ISY went out and I don't have another 5V adapter. I thought I remember reading on the forums that the voltage could be a range higher than 5V. I found a center positive 12V adapter from an old router and it is working, however, can there be any long-term damage to the ISY running at this voltage? Lastly, are the dimensions of the connector 2.5mm X 5.5mm? Thanks in advance! Link to comment
MrBill
From the Wiki: You can use any power supply that outputs anywhere between 5 volt and 30 volts, center positive, 2mm barrel connector. 1 Link to comment

Brian H
The replacement supply in the UDI store is 12Volt 1 Amp. So that will be fine. 1 Link to comment

Thanks! Those are the exact specs of the power adapter I was saving from an old Netgear router. I'm glad I did! The ISY994, and the ISY99 before it, have always been rock-solid devices from my experiences. Besides a power supply, PLM, or maybe an SD card, has anyone had one go bad? I wish I could say the same about INSTEON Switchlincs. Edited December 16, 2020 by robin71 Link to comment
