Mini Remote, Scenes and Confusion

Featured Replies

Scenario: In the process of adding sliding doors to isolate my media room. I would like to keep the existing switch location, outside the room with 2477d, and control them with a Mini Remote. This would allow me to start the playing the music/movie and then control the lights.

The goal is to have Button A be a scene and Button B be another and so on. I can get them to turn all on and all off but not at a specific dimming percentage. I just can't find the correct options to make this work correctly. Any suggestions? TIA

You need to configure your scenes for  and controllers (within the scene) with the light level that you want things to turn on to. It's the exact same process like all insteon other devices. Each button will need its own scene

I have attempted that. This is the scene for Button A. When I push the button, the lights will go to 100%.

Update, I have them working after many tries. I will place the remote in set mode and then update. Will accept scene most of the time.

If you have the pro version, you can turn off write updates to battery operated devices. This will allow you to set-up your scene without have to link each individual device one at a time.

If you don't have the pro, another thing you can do is add your responders to your scene and configure them how you want them to respond. Once done, add the controller (the buttons) to each scene. This will link all your responders to the controller at the preconfigured levels
