legalguy Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 I have a Venstar T1800 thermostat with an ISY99. I just started using heat for the first time since installation. Cool has worked correctly according to my program for the last 8 months. I cannot seem to set the thermostats to heat through the ISY99. The webpage display changes when I toggle to heat and/or adjust the setpoint. But when I query the thermostat, the setpoint goes right back to where it began. I just tried to set the thermostat mode to auto and the mode and setpoint seem to "stick". Could there be a wiring or installation error ? Thanks

legalguy Posted November 18, 2009 Author Posted November 18, 2009 Can you give me a bit of direction please. I downloaded 2.76 - did not unzip per instructions Tried to log in with isy - autoupdate - did not work Logged in with my normal login Tried to manually upgrade Got error message: Upgrade Failed:Invalid or incompatible upgrade file
MikeB Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Be sure you are downloading the correct upgrade file. Note that there are 2 files - one for the ISY-26, and another for the ISY-99. Be sure to read the upgrade instructions carefully. In short, be sure you are on a stable network connection (wired if possible) and disable any anti-virus/firewall software you might be running.
legalguy Posted November 18, 2009 Author Posted November 18, 2009 I got it now. The new thermostat programming for Auto Mode works great. Thanks!
