Posted November 26, 200915 yr I have had problems with Gmail. I have used Gmail with my log-ins and PORT 465 and I can't get ISY to work with it! I was forced to use Gmail with my Panasonic Cameras (SMTP SSL). I decided to use Gmail as my primary e-mail for all security (including ISY) items. I can't get ISY99 to work with the same log-ins. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to make ISY work with Gmail? Thanks, aLf
November 26, 200915 yr I got GMAIL to work yesterday for my ISY as the SMTP server. What worked for me is port 587. Make sure you check Use TLS and have your username and password in there - works like a charm on my end. Happy Thanksgiving! David
November 26, 200915 yr Author David: Thanks. That did the trick! Funny thing is that Gmail doesn't publish that port. It was the same port number that I used with Earthlink. Hey it works, why try and figure it out. aLf
November 27, 200915 yr Glad you got it working. I actually found that port number on a Google support page (don't remember where). I believe there are a couple of different flavors of secure SMTP so they are running different instances on different ports - not 100% sure though....
