Inexpensive repeater for Z-Wave

I am not sure if this is the right place to post this request.  I need a couple Z-Wave repeaters and the cost of a repeater is about the same cost as an On/Off switch.  Are there any inexpensive repeaters available anywhere?

Depends on what you consider inexpensive. Any hardwired device will repeat the signal.

Aeotech repeaters are about 30 bucks each

Right...and the Honeywell Smart Switch is 24.99.  The Aeotech 7 range extender is 32.99.  Do you know how I could find out if the range on the Aeotech is greater than that of the repeater built into the Honeywell?

The range of a plugin device/repeater is always going to be greater than a device inside a wall.

In addition to what simplextech said, the aeotech repeaters also amplifies the signal.

Range is relative to environment. Distance, walls, type of walls, etc. all play a part in how well a repeater works. You may need more than 1.
