Trouble with Emails/Notifications on ISY on Polisy

Hi,

I use and enjoy my ISY every day.

Can't seem to get emails from ISY on Polisy to work.

v 5.0.4 Configuration tab, Emails/Notifications Settings/Group  - tried to use/copy settings that work on my ISY 994i

add to Groups Default/Name  Recipients (regular email) myname@gmail.com  and save

SMTP settings - use default and save

Test - Mail server failure  SMTP_ERRORS -- 1

(the above settings work with my ISY 994i)

Tried it twice - of note after SMTP failure message myname@gmail.com is erased from Recipients and Default has blank Recipients.

Tried multiple times to make sure I had saved settings.

No email ever sent/received

SMTP error --1

recipients list cleared/erased after SMTP test no matter how many saves of SMTP settings or Groups saves

Setting shown/used above are the same as working settings on my ISY 994i on same network/internet connection.

Suggestions?

I tried configuring my ISY on Polisy with the same settings that are currently working on my ISY. I am using smtpout.secureserver.net (godaddy server) on port 80 and see the same problem as @whyworkwhen I try to send a test e-mail.

Additional information.

Updated to 5.0.4.x  (updated via ssh but admin console only shows 5.0.4 with no further decimal version information)

SMTP Test error message now also says "Could not open config file to read [./FILES/CONFI/UXT.BIN]

@whywork,

There are two components to isy on Polisy:

1. Admin Console, all the UI, and all the meta data information (including major.minor.revision = 5.0.4)
2. The actual program that runs on polisy which has major.minor.revision = #1 (above) + isy_ver (_1, _2, ....)

We use #2 for changes and things that we can do quickly to test. Compiling #2, does not change the major.minor.revision. Once we are happy and find no bugs in #2, then we do a full major.minor.revision.

The issue with mail server is case-sensitivity. It's much more intrusive than we originally thought and also impacts backup/restore. We should have a fix by mid next week.

With kind regards,
Michel
