hmmm. but inorder to add devices in my isy dashboard i need the code of that individual device.. and these water dectectors dont seem t have one

Every controller has their own steps to add a device. You need to follow the steps for your particular controller. The instructions to add a zwave device can be found in the Isy wiki as well as following fibaro's manual on how to include a device.

You don't have the zwave board. You'll need to order it from UDI. The wiki has the steps needed for that

All of mine are integrated with Insteon and the ISY Series Controller

How did you do that?

I've used one of these for many years, but needed a 'parallel' sensor system to integrate ISY.

Mine is pretty old, maybe the newer models have a contact closer output (or did you hack into the circuit board/wiring).

No, all of the models I have offer two dry contact wiring ports (N.O / N.C). I simply connected the appropriate wire to the internal port on the Insteon open - close sensor.

That allows instant integration with Insteon / ISY Series Controller. Here’s a really old video of me validating the proof of concept prior to deploying it enmass.

The next step was to add on various systems to prove common things would operate as I expected such a receiving SMS, email, activating custom KPL keypad. As noted that progressed to more fancy and elaborate methods from Julie U.S. speaking to my Reader Board.

I guess I should have looked closer at mine.  Wiring in progress...
