tome
I installed a KeypadLinc Countdown Timer on a bathroom fan today and added it to the ISY. It appears as all 8 buttons: addr.1, addr.B, addr.C, addr.D, addr.E, addr.F, addr.G, addr.H Only addr.1 has any settings associated with it and can be controlled. As far as I can tell it doesn't matter which timer button happens to be pressed, the device status for every button is either on or off. That is, if I push the 5min button, ALL buttons addr.1 thru addr.H show on. My question is what is the value of showing all 8 buttons, other then cluttering up the list of devices? Link to comment
tome
I can use Group Devices to make all the buttons appear under one entry. But, does that limit my use of the buttons in any way or is Group Devices a purely organizational tool? Tome Link to comment
Michel Kohanim
Hi tome, Grouping is only organizational and has no impact on anything else. Originally, we didn't show the status for sub buttons but due to very popular demand we had to add that feature. With kind regards, Michel Link to comment
