Stan K Posted October 15, 2021 Posted October 15, 2021 I have had a 6 button switchlinc dimmer at the back door for ten years. Recently I decided to use a button I had never used before. So I programmed it to turn on the light on the outside of the garage. Here is the problem: When I push the button the garage light turns on. The button stays dim and when I push the button again it won't turn the light off. When I turn on the garage light on my Mobilinc app connected the the ISY it turns the light on, the button on the keypad lights up, and when I press the button it turns the light off. The button is set to toggle mode. Any ideas?

This was done with a scene not a program. It is Keypad Dimmer 2486D v.2D. On level of LED is 15, off level is zero. I also manually linked the button to the switch. Like I said, it turns on from the button but not off. What is the procedure to wipe the switch and then have the ISY reload all the links? 1

MrBill Posted October 22, 2021 Posted October 22, 2021 Factory reset is on Page 16 of the manual. to restore the device afterwards right click it in the device tree and pick restore device. If that doesn't work please let us know what firmware and UI version your ISY is: Help > About.

Stan K Posted October 22, 2021 Author Posted October 22, 2021 Full factory reset and restore seems to have done the trick. I tried this before and it wasn't successful so I must have done something wrong. 2
apostolakisl Posted October 23, 2021 Posted October 23, 2021 It sounds like the button is not set to toggle but rather "on" only. If you click on the kpl from your main screen in ISY admin console, at the bottom right there is a menu and one of them is toggle mode. Click on that and it will show you the mode each of the buttons is in and let you change them.
