In-Line Relay No Longer Available - Now what?? Zwave?

Looking for some advice - I have a house full of Insteon and have owned an ISY since day 1 - Everything works and I haven't had to touch it - One of my Switchlink In-Line Relays (Insteon 2475DA1) that control 6 45 watt high hats just went on me - This switchlink is usually triggered by a press on an Insteon Keypadlinc button- It  Looks like these in-line relays are no longer being made and none are on EBAY- Hard wiring would be a real pain - My ISY has the ZWAVE module - Is there a ZWAVE module I could use as a replacement for this? 

Another thought I had was utilizing the Insteon Ceiling Fan and Light Control Module, sticking it in the box and not hooking up the fan wire -The load should be fine..

 

Looking for any options/thoughts

Where is the electrical box in which the inlinelinc is installed?  Would it be a problem to replace the inlinelinc with an Insteon switch?  Would a switch in this location be a visual or functional problem?

The fanlinc is a dimmer control.  Would this be an issue for your existing lighting?

The Electrical box is in the ceiling behind one of the highats - HIdden away - Can I just throw a switchlinc in the ceiling and just use that? It wouldn't be seen at all - The KPL is the only control

With Regards to the fanlinc, the lights I'm currently controlling are incandescent 45w high hats - They are dimmable although I really only use on/off - So I don't see why the fanlinc wouldn't work and looks like its smaller/easier to hide.. ?? Wouldn't the fanlic support Instant On/Off?

Fanlinc or switchlinc should work just fine as long as wattage is ok.

If your lights are dimmable and compatible with the fanlinc (and it sounds as if they are) then this would work as well.  I have seen multiple mentions around here about how dimmer devices can modify the waveform of the electrical power, even full on, that it might have the potential for damage to loads that are not dimmable.  But...it sounds as if this is not a concern in your case.

Sure.  I cannot think of any reason why not.

If you remove the paddle from a Switchlinc doesn't that pretty much make it into an In-Line Relay? Remove four screws, problem solved.

That was the way mine was. Paddle assembly removed. Tape over the tact switches access holes in the top cover. What looked like a wooden stick was included so you could push on the set switch. The mounting tabs may have been removed but not too sure on that

If you are up for it, trying opening the inline linc and replace the capacitors.  It is not just the PLM's that fail on dead caps.  You have to drill out the rivet holding the voltage regulator to the aluminum case/ heat sink, otherwise it is just a handful of tiny screws holding it together.  I had several 2476D dimmers that died and after I fixed my PLM, I decided to try them just to see, and all but one were fixed with new caps.
