Karen of San Jose Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 When I turn on or off using the physical switch, after a few second, it will turn itself back off or on. This started when I added simple commands to my Apple Watch, so I removed insteon from simple commands but it doesn’t fix anything. I changed insteon account password in case I have other app linked to insteon. Didn’t change anything. If I keep turning the switch back on or off after it reverse itself, after doing that a few times, it will eventually stop reversing itself. And I have to start over when I want to turn off or on again. If I use the app to control the switch, it works and the switch state stay put and wont reverse. It have been a few months and I don’t know how to debug or fit it. My sister won’t use the light switch anymore. I would really like some idea to fix this thanks Karen

Go to your programs, right click on the my programs tab, and choose find/replace. Pick the device you're having problems with. It'll show you all the programs that device is part of. You can also factory reset the device and then test it by turning on/off. If it works properly, re-add to isy by right clicking on device and choosing restore. If it happens once you do that then that confirms a program issue
oberkc Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 I agree that this seems likely to be a program issue. An alternative approach to that suggested by lilyoyo1 is to open the admin console, go to the programs tab, and then the summary tab. Toggle the switch and observe if any of the programs run (the activity status will momentarily change and turn red). Also, sort the list by "last run time" and you would be able to identify if a program ran at the time you toggled your switch.
xlurkr Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 I had not heard of Simple Commands, so I looked it up. It looks like it's one of those programs that can trigger other programs that actually control things. I see the Insteon Hub on their list of compatible controllers, but not the ISY. How are you using the app to control your Insteon devices? -Tom
MrBill Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 Hi @Karen of San Jose You said you changed the "Insteon Password".... exactly which password is this? Are you using (i.e. some of the choices are) an ISY994, Poilsy, Insteon Hub, mobilinc Connect, ISY Portal? How is the Insteon device getting to your apple watch? there must be an intermediary device....
