Also it seems to support Lutron: https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/lutron_caseta/ https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/homeworks/ https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/lutron/ Of course, the ISY is also supported by HA, in addition to Z-Wave, Insteon, etc.

What kinds of switches? Did you just use the same models for the "remotes" as Insteon does, or did you use different remote (control-only, no load) models? All the Z-wave devices have a companion 3 way switch.

HA is a choice and so is Homeseer and Hubitat. All of these can do both Z-wave and Zigbee (HA Home Assistant requires the USB stick).

Most of my 3-ways setups are dimmers. I don't use the "companion" switches (but they do make them) cause I want them all to look and function the same. Also depending on the location in the house, I can use 2x or 3x tap on different switches for different functions. Companions wouldn't be as bad if your 3-ways were all switches, not dimmers. In Zooz land it's the ZAC99 which is a single mechanical momentary switch that wires into the "traveller" line.
