2 of my fans can from Lowes and they were their Harbor Breeze models.  One old one probably came from Home Depot and it is a Hunter.

So your fans had RF remotes that the Bond could learn or already knew about?

I'm this close to buying the Bond but I've only got 1 fan out of 5 that have a remote. This remote is RF and I don't expect Bond to have a problem with it. The other fans are really not important to be smart.

I'm really curious about Bond being able to learn IR remotes for other devices like floor fans and portable air conditioners. I have one each in my bedroom so if Bond can learn their remotes and has an IR blaster in it I should be able to install it in that room. The RF fan is in the main Great Room so it would reach there as well.

I am buying a Minka air fan and the bond. Will let you know how it goes this weekend.

I purchased fans that can be remote controlled by Bond device and use with Bond Node server on Polisy.

As a bonus, bond has Alexia and Google voice control skills.

Thanks, looks like this is the route I will go.

I have yet to try the IR feature, so I can't speak much about it. But I may try it in the near future.

I'm using about 15 of the outdoor models form Lowes and they work great with the enbrighten z-wave controller.

Wow, 15 outdoor fans?  Each with a z-wave fan controller? Mine all have 6 speeds plus variable speed and of course reversing. What I see on the Enbrighten controller you have to give up 4 of the speeds and the reversing of the fan.  Do you add another z-wave switch for the light also? I am guessing that you probably can't do RF with all of them since most fans only offer 2-3 RF channels to operate on.

12 are outdoors in my lanai and balcony.  Just used some of the same fans in minor bedrooms. Never reverse the outdoor ones and 3 speeds are more than enough for us.

Wow I just learned about the Bond Bridge - the thing I like about it is that it allows to use the native RF controllers that came with my ceiling fans (Casablanca and Minka Aire models) - that would allow for accurate control of 3 speeds.  I was running Fanlincs and the speeds were always off.  Over the years, the Fanlincs failed (5 of 6) and I ended up replacing them with an Insteon On/Off switch paired with a capacitor which left me with a single speed fan.  (I have two switches wired in each room per fan, one for the light, one for the fan).  I just installed an Enbrighten Z-Wave Fan Control in 1 location for $40 - but I could have purchased the Bond Bridge instead for $100 for 6 fans and started using all of the RF controls that I already have sitting in a box.  Darn it.

is it necessary to buy the Bond Bridge Pro?  Or does the regular Bond Bridge suffice to control multiple RF ceiling fans?
