cksedg Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Just a question about the Open/Close device (on the unit itself it is listed as 2843-222, but it links to the ISY as a 2421): What is the Delay (immediate or delayed) mode? How would you use it? What about retries? How does this work? I'm not sure how these work. Thanks!

I believe one model specifically meant "retail packaging". 7 hours ago, cksedg said: What is the Delay (immediate or delayed) mode? How would you use it? What about retries? How does this work? I'm not sure immediate/delayed applies to ISY. I have alot of open/close sensors, they can be included in a scene to turn the light on when the door is open, or they can be used in programs with either control or status. I have many that control lights via a scene, some that control lights via a program. All door sensors are included in away mode programs to let me know something has been opened while away, etc. retires is simply communication retries. You shouldn't need retries > 1, if you do then you have a different communication problem that you should attack instead of increasing retries. 1
