MagicHome on polisy installs on ployglot then removes it self

I have just move over to Polisy and everything is working good I have serval different node servers up and running. But when I install MagicHome it comes up with not online and after a while it disappears from the list of servers.

It is being removed because it never gets installed on the ISY. It's failing to install because the install package is missing.

I've uploaded the install package so it should install now.

I've been working on major updates to the packaging and install process and apparently, I broke something and it never uploaded the package when I added it to the store.

Thanks it installed no problem. I am haven't trouble setting any levels. It turns them on and off but I cant get any levels to change.

It doesn't recognize your bulbs so it doesn't know that they support changing levels.

I just moved MagicHome PG2 to PG3 Node server. It installed, found my LED strips , and I can control them.

It did not install an overall node where the Node server status could be checked. Not sure if that’s by design or it needs to be added but in spirit the Node server is tagged as a beta, I’m reporting it.

Is there any information you would like me to send to you. If you are interested in adding these lights to you node server. Your server dose what I most wanted and that is just to turn them on and off. I can use MagicHome to set the colors and brightness.

Version 1.0.3 should be in the store now, if you refresh the store you should see it. Then restarting the node server should automatically up date to version 1.0.3. Let me know if that work for the LED strip lights.

the effects are working but the percentage is backwards. 1% is fastest and 100% is slowest. also I can not get it out of effects. I tried to set the rgb and huge but nothing changed not sure what would be a good test setting because I have always used a color wheel. I was trying to set rgb 100 and hue 17.

The MagicHome API isn't documented so everything that works has been reverse engineered and there are still unknowns in the protocol. It looks like the flux_led project has figure out a lot more since the last time I looked at.

I just added your device type to the list and set it up similar to another device. That could be completely wrong for your device. It is very possible that the animation speed settings are different for your device.

For my devices, switching to another mode (like setting the on level to something) switches them out of effects mode. The devices I have support 3 modes, effects, white, and rgb. Setting the brightness level switches them to white mode.

Node servers have no way to implement a color wheel control. Hue changes the color 0 = blue. Increasing will move the hue towards green, then red and finally back towards blue. The RGB level is the brightness level, this should effect all three (red, green, blue) leds equally. So rgb=100% and hue=17 should have been a shade of blue. But that assumes your devices work the same as the ones I have.

This one has no white just effects and rgb . when I am using magichome andriod app setting a color takes it out of effects. I think on this one you set the colors each. with the app if you don't use the color wheel you cash set red level and blue level and green level 0 - 255.

Just to let you know I am able to do more with your nodes than I was hopping for. I was able to set up my Christmas lights for the 4th of July and run them in a pattern just using the fade to color. I might shorten the time for each pattern and increase the animation speed but it works.

I think that's probably about as good as it's going to get, at least for a while. I don't have time to try and reverse engineer the protocol differences in the controller you have right now. So I'm glad it is at least partially working as is.

The only thing I might suggest depending on how hard it is. That is to remove all choices but on off and effects and animation speed. It might save you some questioning of the node server. again Thank you for the node server as it is.
