BamBamF16 Posted October 11, 2022 Posted October 11, 2022 Anyone have any comparison between: Enbrighten 55256 Z-Wave Plus Smart Receptacle, Works with Alexa, Google Assistant, Tamper-Resistant, 1 ZWave 1 Always On Outlet Hub Required, White https://a.co/71BUb61 Or Limited-time deal for Prime Members: Leviton ZW15R-1BW Decora Smart Tamper-Resistant Outlet with Z-Wave Technology, 1 Pack, White https://a.co/ijB5TsX ?? I do use Leviton outlets now only because Eaton doesn't have 700 series receptacles yet (Eaton is my preference). Enbrighten outlets have historically felt cheapest to me.
vbPhil Posted October 11, 2022 Posted October 11, 2022 Leviton is labeled as 700 series. I can't find what chipset the Enbrighten has, I think 500 series. I've used both company's wall switches and haven't had any complaints. Even though I retired from GE I'd go with the Leviton.
BamBamF16 Posted October 11, 2022 Author Posted October 11, 2022 Thanks for the words. I'll order 1 of each to test out. Leaving towards leviton though
zmarty Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 (edited) Sadly the GE Enbrighten Z-Wave ones are garbage. 3 of mine already failed. I regret putting them in all over the house. No idea how they have decent reviews. Edited November 21, 2022 by zmarty
asbril Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 I have not had major issues with GE/Jasco switches that I have but over time I moved first to Inovelli, then to Homeseer and now mostly to Zooz. Inovelli (as their name suggests) was innovative but their settings are different from most Zwave switches and I have had too many issues with Inovelli switches. Furthermore the company is moving away from Zwave and now focuses on Zigbee. I still use some Homeseer dimmers as I have programmed their sentinels to show me the status (On or OFF) of other devices in my home. lately I am concentrating on Zooz as their switches are good and are Zwave 700.

Since you've provided no details, we can't say for certain. While ge feels cheap, they generally last as long as other mfg. 1
