waffles Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 The Device list with close to 50 devices I had set up over the years and was working fine and visible until about an hour ago is GONE all of a sudden. Alexa no longer recognizes the spoken commands. It appears it all got wiped out. The devices are still visible for spoken mapping. How can I bring it back? Thanks!
MrBill Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 I'd try opening the Alexa App > More > Skills & Games > Your Skills (top right) then "ISY Optimized for Smart Home V3" Disable the Skill and then re-link it. It seems like the portal and Alexa aren't talking to each other. 1

I have since started recreating everything. It's still work in progress; currently it looks like this:

I remember having that happen to me a loooong time ago. I don't remember what caused it. I didn't have to rebuild it though. Did you try hitting the "Refresh" button on the portal page you showed? Doing that re-syncs the device list from the ISY. Typically this should pull things back into the view, but you might also need to refresh the browser window. Having gone through that once, be sure you download the spoken (the download button next to the refresh). Not really anything you can do with that file, but it will at least give you what you had setup as of the time you downloaded the file. Additionally, you could go to https://alexa.amazon.com then clicked "Smart Home" -> Devices to see if things were indeed still stored in Alexa's memory. Ultimately, the question becomes - what did you do about an hour before this happened?
waffles Posted October 17, 2022 Author Posted October 17, 2022 Thanks @Geddy; I had retried the refreshs but to no avail. Luckily I had an old csv file, even though a bit (out)dated. I had opened a ticket with UDI in parallel and there the conclusion is that it's really not possible that something wiped it out on the back end. I have no idea what caused it, so I am thinking it *must* have been a glitch in the Matrix . It's not the end of the world and I have most of it up and running again. 1
