Where exactly is the 5.3.4 update for the 994?

Can you PM me some of the links you were using? Were they from the Wiki or somewhere else?

All current release information can be found in this area:

https://forum.universal-devices.com/forum/339-current-release-announcements/

Specific release for 5.3.4 is here. (Make sure your system meets the standards for this version…specifically if you have a z-wave board.)

The process of being able to update automatically ended with the release of 5.x because of so much effort to update.

I do not have a Z-Wave board (probably why I never upgraded). The migration instructions say:

Migrating from 994 to Polisy

Preorder ZMatter: Z-Wave Plus and Matter Module

Note Z-Wave nodes are not automatically migrated:

  1. Make sure the ISY994 is already upgraded to 5.3.4, the Polisy OS should be at level 13 or greater, if you are moving the SERIAL PLM from the ISY994 to the Polisy, locate the RS-232 cable that came with the SERIAL PLM, for USB PLM’s make sure the cable is long enough. Just in case - Note the IP address of the ISY994 and the Polisy. If you are upgrading a z-wave network, ensure a zooz S2 stick 700 is available for the Polisy.

So are you saying that this only applies if I am using Z-Wave and otherwise I can migrate straight from 5.0.16C? (Cuz that's not the way the instructions read)

Could not solve it so I did a factory reset and started over:

In P2 I still get the red password warning that will not go away even if I reset the password.

In P2 the log is going crazy from constant failed attempts to connect to ISY.

In P2 I no longer have any Node Servers.

In P3 I have Node Servers but they show as unmanaged and cannot be deleted.

IoP works fine for Insteon but of course no Node Server functions

From your screen shot above, you need to change the ISY port to 8080 for IoP.   That's probably why PG2 can't communicate with the IoP.  The message is reporting the typical cause for connection failures, it's not really reporting the actual error.

Node servers are managed by a specific instance of Polyglot.  Thus, node servers installed by PG2 are not manageable by PG3 nor vice versa.

OK but I am also struggling to get Homeseer to talk to IoP and I think it defaults to 80 with no option to adjust it on that side.

EDIT:

You were right about 8080 getting rid of the red banner. Thanks! Now I just need to get Homeseer connected and figure out how to kill these ghost nodes in P3
