gschoffstall
I am using an ISY 994 ir pro running on v5.3.4 with mostly Insteon and some X-10. I have a couple of Insteon RemoteLincs . They link and respond to On / OFF commands in my programs. My issue is that I cannot figure out if the Bright / Dim/ All On /All OFF can be programmed. I don't see options in the program screen for using them. What am I missing? Link to comment
upstatemike
All On and All Off cannot be programmed as far as I know. They simply act on all of the devices linked to the RemotLinc. I don't use dim and bright much but I assume they act on the devices associated with the last button you pressed on the RemoteLinc. I'll give it a try and confirm that this evening. Link to comment

gschoffstall
Thanks guys. So the answer then is no, those buttons only work on Insteon responders that were already directly accessed by that RemoteLinc. Link to comment

gschoffstall
I already have a program that turns lights on and off with the RemoteLinc buttons 1 - 6. My issue is that the ISY doesn't seem to have a way to recognize other than the 6 (12) buttons. The idea was simple, use the Bright / Dim buttons to execute that command for X-10 devices. It looks like that isn't possible. Link to comment
Solution xlurkr Posted January 5, 2023 Solution Share Posted January 5, 2023 I have a vague recollection of trying this myself years ago, and you're right, those buttons can't do anything except control the Insteon devices linked to that remote. No programming. -Tom Link to comment
