Is Z-Wave X-Ray supposed to do something??

Featured Replies

I'm having rough times getting a fresh Z-Wave network set up with EISY and the dongle.

I figured I would check the X-Ray to see if any diagnostics could be found and all I get is a screeen that says:
 Display detailed low-level information

Then I have to restart the Java App to get the screen to go away.

If I "show native links"...I get links for 3 of the 10 or so devices.  If I select one of the devices NOT in the list and right-click and show-native links, it says "no native links"

Heal Network show "successful start"...but never seem to complete.

Weird....I figured I better ask if anyone knows what I'm doing wrong?  Or just wait for another Version Release to come out and hope that Z-Wave gets better?

Thanks,

Eboman

What firmware and UI are you running? Was this a migration or a new fresh install with Zwave devices added manually?

Do you have any devices other than Zwave and if so, how are they running?

Oops....sorry about that.

Firmware is 5.5.5.

I migrated all of the Insteon devices over from my ISY-994i without issue (they work fine).

The Z-Wave is completely new .. i.e. I removed/added each device manually.  Some I needed to enter the Security Code...but they seemed to add OK.

It's just "weird" that most of the "diagnostics" tools don't seem to work and/or partially work.  FWIW, I did a "heal all" devices and watched the logs.  When doing the "heal" from the Main Menu, it seems to work.  When trying to "heal" from the actual "node"....no luck.

X-Ray still pops up a screen that I can't seem to make go away that only says "

 Display detailed low-level information

FWIW....I did a reset of the dongle and reinstalled all of the Z-Wave devices using 5.5.6.

Everything is working just fine now.  I'm not sure what I did wrong the first time around....but MUCH better/happier now.

Thanks!

Eric
