KeviNH Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 We're looking for plug-in modules with energy reporting so we can monitor devices remotely, turn them off if they are left on, and still allow local control (by pressing the button on the module). The MP22ZP seems to fit our needs and budget, anybody tried it? Vendor site states ".Outdoor smart plug designed for use for most residential lighting and motor applications...Compatible with SmartThings, Wink, Vera, Fibaro and all Z-Wave certificated hubs."
Steve L Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 I have the MP22Z (no energy monitoring) and it works well with the ISY ecosystem. 1
MrBill Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 I use the Kasa KP115 a couple of places where I want to make certain the device is actually consuming energy. (ex: pipe heat), otherwise I use the less expensive version, 4 for the same price as 1 KP115 but without energy monitoring and just rely on status to decided if it's been left on. Note: Your post didn't say anything about outdoor requirement, but your example is an outdoor device.

Thanks, that's a good sign of compatibility. 1 hour ago, MrBill said: I use the Kasa KP115 a couple of places where I want to make certain the device is actually consuming energy. While "outdoor rated" isn't a hard requirement, physical robustness doesn't hurt, especially when more cheaply made "cube" modules with Z-wave are only a few bucks cheaper.
