Chris McKean Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 I have two Zwave devices, a ZSE40 and a ZEN34 that display in the Polisy as if they need changes to be written to the devices. I have executed "write changes" with no effect as well as under zwave "rewrite all device links". Neither one updates the display. All of my other Zwave devices appear normal in the Polisy Main menu. Any idea how to fix this?
asbril Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 I am not sure but I believe that "write changes" only works with ZMatter board. Are you using Polisy ?
Chris McKean Posted February 26, 2023 Author Posted February 26, 2023 Yes, it is a Polisy Pro with the ZMatter board installed.
asbril Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 Just now, Chris McKean said: Yes, it is a Polisy Pro with the ZMatter board installed. I don't really know whether it actually works but the message disappears when activated on my eisy with ZMatter.
Solution DennisC Posted February 26, 2023 Solution Posted February 26, 2023 Are they battery operated devices, if so try waking them up first. 1
Chris McKean Posted February 26, 2023 Author Posted February 26, 2023 They are both battery operated. They seem to be working (nodes display the proper information), however all the nodes need changes to be written. It appears that I am not able to wake up the devices. "Keep awake" is on, but "is awake" is false. When I query the device, the "is awake" changes briefly to True, but then I get an error saying request failed.
DennisC Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 Sounds like you have communication issues. Isn't there a type of restore Zwave option or add/remove nodes? Don't remember exact language and I'm not in front of system. Last resort would be exclude/include, but if you are having communication issues that might make things worse.
DennisC Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 Also wondering if the batteries maybe weak. Try changing them.

Based on another post, I was going to try writing changes right after inserting the battery (apparently they are awake for around 10 seconds after power up), but before I put the battery back in I noticed the 1011 icons had cleared. I think opening the case/tamper alert woke it up.
Chris McKean Posted March 3, 2023 Author Posted March 3, 2023 Waking up the devices as documented in the manual fixed the problem.
