When I backup my Eisy (v5.6.0) does this include all z-wave items or do I have to do something different to backup the zwave components ?

First, you need to go to the top level ZWave menu and back up ZWave. Go to Admin Console - ZWave - Backup. If given a choice do a complete backup.

Now you can go to File - Backup ISY and the ZWave back will be included.

Do I need to this step:

1) Everytime I backup ?

2) Only when I add or remove zwave devices ?

3) Only when I change a program to use a zwave device ?

4) Only do once ?

Anytime you add, delete or change a Zwave device you should do a Zwave backup which backs up the data on your Zwave dongle.
