Xpendable Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 I can't get this to work. I have successfully imported my lighting into ElkRP and I have turned on the unsecured port of 2101. The ISY is able to arm and disarm my Elk just fine. My devices show up in the keypad. But no matter what I do, no lighting commands appear to be sent from the Elk to the ISY. I also made sure the ElkRP software is not connected when I do the tests. I'm very frustrated by this and have spent hours and hours trying to get it to work. Please help!
Xpendable Posted April 27, 2010 Author Posted April 27, 2010 Problem solved! I had to check all six checkboxes for the "Serial Port 0 Transmit Options" on the Globals G29-G42 tab settings. It's odd that they wouldn't set that as the default for you when you import your ISY file into the ElkRP software. Anyway, it appears to be functioning now.
Michel Kohanim Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Hello Xpendable, Thanks so very much for the update. This is the first time I am hearing that those Globals have to be checked. Nonetheless, this is a great catch and I am certain others will find it quite helpful. Thanks again and with kind regards, Michel
WayneW Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Yes, a good thing to remember for a troubleshooting checklist. But Globals 35-40 should have been turned on when the XEP was installed (per the Elk XEP docs) as they are key to almost anything using the XEP.
