fasttimes Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Ok, I just updated to the pro version just to get the batch processing. Is there a way to "update all" instead of having to right click each device? This isn't really "batch mode" if you have to go through each one by hand.
mrp Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 My understanding of batch-mode (and it works great this way)... [*:hlsd1bed]Turn off the "Automatically Write Changes to Device" icon up at the top (green circle with '11010' in it; its also under File->Write Changes to Devices)[*:hlsd1bed] Make whatever changes to your system you need--adjust scenes, set levels, whatever.[*:hlsd1bed] Turn on the "Automatically Write Changes to Device" icon, and watch the devices get programmed all at once. It certainly makes mass adjustments a lot less time consuming. If it has powers beyond this, I am unaware of them, and would love to learn more. From your wording, I'm a little unclear on what you seek. Perhaps it is "File->Restore Devices" you're looking for. This will visit each one of your devices, and bring them in line with what the ISY thinks they should be. When I use this, it takes 3 - 4 hours to program my system of about 50 devices. The Pro is much more than batch mode though. It adds a boatload more memory which can be used to host complex web pages and such through the Network module. Also the number of scenes and devices it can manage are considerably more than standard, too. cheers
Michel Kohanim Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Hello fasttimes, Yes, just click the green batch icon at the top (one to the last) and all your updates will be written out. With kind regards, Michel
