paulbates Posted January 28 Posted January 28 I'm wanting to add monitored smoke/co protection to my new-to-me house. It has some +20 year old power connected smoke detectors with no monitoring. Not enough to do the job or even be code, and too old to be trusted. All I do is get a ladder when they "beep" to report the backup battery 🤪. I'm starting over. I'm not wired for a full alarm system and don't want one. As we camp hundreds of miles away in remote locations in Michigan and elsewhere several times a year, with limited or no mobile service, I want smoke&co monitoring/dispatch and do not want to be a link in the dispatch chain. I would also like the eISY to be informed, so iot integration is important. I have a yolink hub and the plugin working, so yolink could be a logical next step. The choices I know about: Simplisafe: Had it at my last house. I trust it, it dispatches on alarm raised. The down side is the expensive, captured monitoring service.. and no good iot integration. There's a "Rube Goldberg" set of steps to notify the ISY: SS emails to gmail filters to  IFTTT to NR. After 9 years of making and reading other's pleas to SS for iot support and them being ignored, it's clear that it's not happening.  Yolink smoke/co sensors with virtualalarm.com monitoring. This is really my question, has anyone used virtualalarm especially with yolink? Any comments or info? I trust yolink enough to start with one and see, but there's not a lot of info on virtual alarm.  Other smoke/co solutions with monitoring that could inform the ISY when tripped?
