xlurkr Posted January 30 Posted January 30 I've been wanting to add external temp/humidity sensing to my Polisy setup for a while now and decided to take the leap. I got the SpeakerHub and the X3 Outdoor Sensor. This YoLink stuff is very easy to set up, seems to perform very well (though today is day 1, so let's see), and the node server is outstanding. I had it all set up in minutes because of the very clear instructions. At no point did anything go wrong, nor did I have to redo anything. I wish every time I tried something new it worked so well. -Tom 5
paulbates Posted January 30 Posted January 30 (edited) +1 I'm a recent yolink convert as well, two 8003 temp humid sensors controlling indoor vent fans For isy programs I had to adjust to their way of thinking in terms of how often they update, but they work consistently once I did. I'm planning my next project for smoke/CO sensors backed with virtualarm monitoring. Edited January 30 by paulbates 2
GTench Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Been using Yolink now for about a year. I have a few motion, and humidity detectors along with 7 or 8 leak detectors. Echoing other users comments, I found everything very easy to set up and has been very reliable. Leak detectors are set up to trigger a Zwave water shut off value. This worked perfectly the two times it was needed. My only wish is that there be a local api instead of relying on the cloud. I was worried about this with the leak detection so I direct connected the leak detectors to a Yolink relay whose output can then trigger my Zwave water shutoff valve. I realize Yolink has a water shutoff valve that can be direct linked to the leak detectors but I already had a functioning Zwave water shutoff value and did not want to spend the money to replace it. If and when there is a local api, I will consider expanding my Yolink system. Gary 1
