universal1 Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Darn no legacy forum anymoore. Anyone know if you can convert a 2412UH to RJ45 with a swapped interface board from a regular 2412? I've never had a UH model to open up to see.
Brian H Posted January 30 Posted January 30 (edited) The 2412UH was for the HouseLinc program you had to purchase. Before the HouseLinc Free was released. If you did a information request on a 2412UH. It has the same Category for any PLM. The Subcategory indicated it was an H version. So the paid software didn't think you got the program not paying for it. You should be able to install a serial daughter board and case insert (USB and Serial had a different matching case insert) for the serial board from a 2412S and it should be fine. If you are connected to something that checks the model and cares it is reporting it is a 2412UH. It should work fine unless the program checking cares it is reporting as a 2412UH. One thing to remember. There where two basic 2412S daughter board. Original ones had a small memory (417 Links) and the later ones a large memory (2016 Links). Because of the speed of the memory. An ISY99i or ISY994i. Started missing links around 800. Edited January 31 by Brian H add something
