Smoke and Smoke/CO Sensors

Featured Replies

Question / comment 1: There aren't a lot of options for the If for smoke / smoke co like battery, is it possible to get those? A comment is that the temp/humidity sensor if statements are under Status, and the Smoke/Smoke CO under control.

Question 2. When looking at iox, there is a field for "self check" that appears as "1'. I would l Iike to create notifications on failed selfcheck through the notification plugin as well. Provided that self check appears as part of making an "if", I'd like to know how to interpret. Guessing "1" is a pass as I self checked them all with the app, and "0" would be a fail?

I do not know how self-check works to be honest - I have never seen it fail.  1 / 0 seems like a node problem in setup files - I can check - but my smoke detector is no longer on-line so I need someone to help check it afterwards

For control vs. status.  Controls can send actions (trigger other devices) - status you need to check and make your own actions afterwards.  The idea is you can trigger on a smoke event but not on a temperature reading

Ok.. and glad to help check. Let me know. Thanks

Just checked - I must have made a mistake checking in the editor file at some point so the info was lost.

If you force a reinstall it should work - I did not update version as I have been working on other stuff

SelfcheckState-0 = Not recommended
SelfcheckState-1 = Recommended
SelfcheckState-99 = Unknown

As you can see the self check is note for you to perform it (I guess)

Thanks. I stumbled around in the plugin store.. I can see how to  reinstall all plugins, but not just yolink. I don't want to do that. I'll be ok waiting for your update with everything else.

Thanks for the quick response. I can help with testing if needed

I think you just clock the yolink node, click what you paid and do reinstall here (not new slot) - it just copies the latest code over

Ok, I found it, "reinstall here".  I'll take a look in iox

you may have to press update Profile

Updating the profile did change the iox content on recommended self check. That and your notes are good.. I'd like to know if a detector should be checked even if I do it manually.

To follow up on the first post, when I go to create and iox program to check that info, its not available in the drop down in the "If" under control.. these are the current options:

Only the alarm is control

I believe it should appear under status
