johnmsch Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Since my old 2466DW is fried, I ordered a new 2477D. Should be arriving today. Been wondering about how I should handle this in the ISY99i Admin Console. Once the switch is installed, I'd like it keep the same program that is currently running the 2466DW. How would I go about this? Probably an obvious question I'm just not seeing, but its been at least 4-5 years since I've changed/added any new hardware and I very rarely even go into the Admin Console any more. Thanks
Brian H Posted May 4 Posted May 4 (edited) Not too sure as they are not 100% the same. Try the replace with function in the Administrative Console. They maybe close enough to have the replace with do all the needed changes. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:Replacing_a_Device Edited May 4 by Brian H
Techman Posted May 4 Posted May 4 When you do a REPLACE WITH the devices must be the same. You'll have to delete the 2466DW and add the 2477D as a new device.. Your programs will have a void where the previous switch was so you'll need to manually add the new switch to each program.
johnmsch Posted May 4 Author Posted May 4 Thanks guys, that was easy enough. Added the new device in Admin Console, deleted the old one, updated the two programs that reference the device and took a new backup.
