DaleSWA Posted June 4 Posted June 4 I have a SwitchLinc On/Off whose ON/OFF status is not reflected in UD Mobile when the switch is manually pressed to turn on of off. The only way UD Mobile will show accurate status is if I initiate a query of the device. My other SwitchLinc DImmer switches immediately show their status in UD Mobile. Is this expected behavior for a SwitchLinc On/Off? If not, any suggestions to fix?
paulbates Posted June 4 Posted June 4 Does it show right in AC/iox? If it's a switchlinc, it's older. Have you tried pulling the air gap switch, if it has one, wait 10 seconds and push in? If that doesn't work, factory reset it and right-click in it, pick restore device

There was a bug in earlier firmware which may cause similar issues.
DaleSWA Posted June 4 Author Posted June 4 (edited) Thank you for the suggestions but still no success. I ending up doing the factory reset and restore on the SwitchLinc. No change in the behavior. The SwitchLinc is in IoX and is used successfully in scenes and programs, just can't see it's status if manually turned on or off.. Firmware is at 5.8.3 and UD Mobile is the latest version (1.1.64) in the App Store. Edited June 4 by DaleSWA
Javi Posted June 4 Posted June 4 To help isolate the issue, I'll need some additional information. Are status updates also missing from the Admin Console? If they are, then please check if this only happens on the Remote Connection. To test this you must be on the same WiFi network as eisy. Go to UD Mobile > Settings > Systems > Your System > Local Connection Settings (expanded), enable "Only use Local Connection". Also verify the Local Credentials, IP and Port are correct. Default local credentials are both "admin" if they have not been changed. There is a search icon next to the Local IP Address which should automatically populate IP and Port if needed. Press the Test Local Connection button at the bottom of the Local Connection Settings, if a success message is received local connection is established. Cancel any request to synchronize. Does status now populate correctly? After this test please disable "Only use Local Connection".
DaleSWA Posted June 4 Author Posted June 4 Hi Javi, I completed these steps and the SwitchLinc status still does not populate in UD Mobile (or IoX AC) using the Local Connection.
Javi Posted June 4 Posted June 4 Thanks. Assuming there is only a single device with the issue, then it is highly probable the issue is a defective Switchlink or Switchlinc communication issues. Power gapping may solve the issue, moving the device, or removing/filtering devices (such as computers, power supplies) which may cause linke noise.
DaleSWA Posted June 4 Author Posted June 4 I have a newer version ON/OFF switch on the shelf. I'll swap it out and see if that makes a difference. One thing I did notice is that for the SwitchLinc in question, right click > Advanced > PLM Communication, the popup says "This device does not support PLM communication settings". All other Dimmer switches show "1 retry".
