How would you solve for this fan/light control?

I have a room where the combined fan/light control switch is the other side of the room from the door.  I'd prefer to also control the fan and its light at the point of where I enter the room.  I have an Insteon based system.

Without cutting into joists and drywall and running a wire from a new additional switch at the door to the existing, is there a better way to do this?  I suppose the easiest could be a remote control at the point of entry to the room?  But I'd like a switch if possible.

Thoughts welcome!  Thanks.

If the original switch is not Insteon and has more than one built in function. The wall mounted wireless control would not work. With out changing the presently used switch. To an Insteon one and it would have to have the needed functions to control the fan and lights if they can be controlled separately.

If the optional wall mount for the remote has not changed lately. Mine is designed to mount on to the wall and not on an electrical box where the remote seems to just fall into the box.

Alternatively you can get a Bond hub - assuming the fan will work with it.  Then assuming you have PG3 already setup use the Bond Hub NS, and then integrate with your insteon network that way.

I’ve done this with 3 ceiling fans and like it. Have Insteon wall switches to control fan and light via mixed device scenes. Only issue is the NS needs a second or two between controlling light and fan from the wall switches or it will miss the second command.
