Error Message: Failed getting engine version ...

I have a switchlink dimmer v2.1 that I removed from one room and relocated in another. Rather than change the name, I deleted the switchlink from ISY 99i. When I try to add device back into the database by adding the address, I get the error message: Failed getting engine version reverting to i1.

 

I am unable to add the switch. It worked 20 minutes ago. Any ideas?

Hi Al,

 

That message is a notification, it seems as if the PLM cannot communicate with the switch in it's new location.

 

I would suggest a factory reset on the switch and try to link again. Are you using the set button to link?

Linked with the set button and it went right through.
