Argelius Posted October 31 Posted October 31 I've been scouring the interwebs for help in installing a Ratdgo on my liftmaster driveway gate, but I've come up empty. Installing one on my garage door opener was a breeze. I suspect the gay will be less straightforward. Can anyone offer assistance or point me to a source of information? The gate's wiring diagram is attached for those brave enough to look at it... Thanks! CSW24U Wiring Diagram page 1.pdf Quote
Guy Lavoie Posted October 31 Posted October 31 Well, the "open" and "close" buttons (at the top right) are normally open momentary contact buttons. Are you looking to just control opening and closing, or more than that (like monitoring status, etc)? Quote
Goose66 Posted October 31 Posted October 31 (edited) You should be able to wire the ratgdo to use the discreet open and close terminals on the gate controller. There is a diagram on the ratgdo wiring page here: https://paulwieland.github.io/ratgdo/03_wiring.html. However, as Guy Lavoie said, monitoring open and close status probably won't work, unless you have the expansion board and use the aux relays or you install separate open and close limit switches (e.g., microswitches or reed switches). Argelius Posted October 31 Author Posted October 31 Thanks, all. I don't necessarily need to monitor open and close via HomeKit (since I can see that status in the MyQ app if needed. I really just want voice control over the opening and closing. Quote
dbwarner5 Posted November 1 Posted November 1 @Argelius If all you need to do is have a momentary close of a relay, there are plenty of zwave and if yo have the zigbee matter board, zigbee relays on amazon https://www.amazon.com/s?k=z+wave+relay+12v&crid=2L8WYHA87Z1ZK&sprefix=z+wave+relay%2Caps%2C148&ref=nb_sb_ss_ts-doa-p_2_12 This would integrate directly into the eisy if its within range of the gate. You would also need wifi within range out there for the RATDGO device. Quote
