FRR
Up until recently, my system has been rock solid, great reliability. ISY was wonderful. Nothing changed in my system with the exception of a device replacement and no new loads or sources of interference have been plugged in, yet my devices are no longer reporting local control status changes. If I query the device, the status is updated. Which is not much use since I trigger many programs based on local status changes. However at times I get a can not communicate error or the query takes several seconds to update the device status. Control of devices is now intermittent using the ISY GUI v2.7.15 as well. The ISY is powered from the 2412S v72 PLM. Now, occasionally, I also get a Not Connected message when I would check the PLM status. I have power cycled the PLM/ISY as a pair several times. Same results. I have also just power cycled the ISY alone. This may have solved the intermittent Not Connected PLM status however, the other issues remain. I have access points bridging the phases as well as a hard wired phase coupler so, I don't think it is a phase coupling issue. Seems that these problems started after I attempted to replace a Lamplinc which did not go smoothly using the ISY replace device option. I had to Restore devices to get the links correct in the replacement and the devices that were linked to its predecessor. Would upgrading to v2.7.15. cause this? How do I determine if the problem is with the PLM, ISY hardware/Software or other cause? Any help is appreciated. Thanks Frank Here's a few lines of the log when I ran a device query. Did not appear to work and it took a long time. Michel Kohanim
Hello FRR, Status updates depend on slave links in the PLM. The first thing I recommend is to go to Tools | Diagnostics | Show PLM Links Table, click on start, and then click on the count button. The next thing I recommend is to choose one of your devices, do a restore on it, and see if it works. If it does + the fact that you get PLM disconnected message would lead me to believe that you have a dying (or already dead) PLM. With kind regards, Michel
