dbroere Posted January 30 Posted January 30 100% Insteon system with ~ 70 devices. system has been working for over 10 years. Polisy with serial PLM -- original one working but very old model. purchased a new one I believe there are old deleted device addresses, still in the PLM. Want to clean all this up and move to the new PLM. What's the best way to approach this? Quote
Solution Techman Posted January 30 Solution Posted January 30 Exactly follow the attached procedure to replace your PLM. It's best to do a factory reset on your new PLM before installng it. When you install the new PLM the deleted addresses in your previous PLM will be removed. Replace PLM Procedure (EISY or POLISY).pdf 1 Quote
apostolakisl Posted January 30 Posted January 30 If you have orphan links, you may need to factory reset everything and start over. Or just ignore the orphan links if they cause you no trouble. Orphan links can be on the pLM only in which case restoring from ISY will clear them, but I have had orphan links that were in the ISY database. Many years ago I deleted everything and started from scratch and haven't had any issues since. But I have a lot more stuff now than I had then. 70 devices is a lot of devices to redo from scratch. And you would have to redo programs as well. 1 Quote
