Michaelv Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 I recently upgraded to firmware 2.7.15. Now, all of my programs, such as a single tap to the off button on a KPL does not turn of the group of lights it used to control flawlessly. What could be wrong?
Michel Kohanim Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Hi MV, Apologies for the inconvenience. The first question I have is whether or not the status of your devices is correctly updated in the Admin Console. i.e. when you tap one of your switches physically, does ISY show the status for that switch correctly? With kind regards, Michel
Michel Kohanim Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Hello Michaelv, Ok, please check Tools | Diagnostics | Show PLM Links Table. Then, click on the count button and let me know how many links are there in your PLM. I suspect that you have a defective PLM and the links are deleted. You might want to do a restore modem to see if that helps. With kind regards, Michel
Michaelv Posted June 26, 2010 Author Posted June 26, 2010 Had 0 Links, Restored the PLM and everything seems to be working, better than ever I am happy to say! Thanks Michel.
Michel Kohanim Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Hello Michaelv, I should be happy to hear this news but I am rather ill at ease! How could your PLM have lost all the links? If you are still under warranty, I strongly recommend getting a new PLM. With kind regards, Michel
Brian H Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 It does sound like the PLM may have a problem. I have older PLMs that I have in storage. Where from updating to a a later firmware PLM for use with my ISY99i. I can use other programs to access them and the link database is still there unless I did a Factory Reset on them.
Michaelv Posted June 28, 2010 Author Posted June 28, 2010 Thanks, I have a spare I will introduce while I try to get the suspect one replaced. Any special guidelines for this procedure?
Sub-Routine Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Hi MV, We have a Wiki article that explains the procedure. Replace Modem (PLM). This may take some time depending on how many devices you have. Rand Thanks, I have a spare I will introduce while I try to get the suspect one replaced. Any special guidelines for this procedure?
