New Router - ISY Not Found

I have been using my ISY 99 on my existing Rogers router for several years. After having some home wifi trouble Rogers came and replaced my ignite Modem with a new modem and gave me new pods. 
Now my Philips Hue bridge is no longer able to connect and when I try to get in to the ISY through the my desktop it’s says ISY not found. 
I am now looking at my ISY and unplugged it and plugged it back in and the blue memory light and red error light are flashing. 
would appreciate any assistance pls.

Restarted the ISY again, this time I am back to a solid blue light but I am still getting get the ISY Not Found error and when I try and use my MobiLinc app - it says disconnected and won't connect to the ISY. Is it possible that there is some setting on the Rogers Modem that is blocking access?

Chances are your ISY 99 has a local ip address subnet that is different than your new router. Example some use 192.168.0.x and some use 10.10.1.x  etc.

Do you have the old router still and able to turn it on and attach to it to see what IP subnet it uses? Many router/modems allow you to pick what subnet you use.

An alternative is to:

• Power off the ISY-99.
• Press and hold the "Reset" button (usually near the power input) for 10 seconds while powering it on.
• This should reset the network settings and allow you to reconfigure the connection.

But it might also rest the ISY, do you have a backup handy?

Thx - I am super averse to resetting the ISY - I should have a back up file but I if I can avoid resetting the ISY that would be best. Unfortunately Roger has the old modem. - Mine previously used 192.168

Then you can check/change the IP configuration.  

Personally, I prefer DHCP and use static reservations in my pfSense firewall.  

 

 

Another option would be to connect the ISY99 LAN connection directly to a computer, then assign the computer a fixed IP address on the same subnet.  Then you can log into the admin console and make a backup and change IP settings.

Looks my new one use 10.0..0.01. But now I need to try and find the IP address of the ISY which is plugged in.

So I found the IP address of the ISY but when I check the Rogers modem it shows the IsY as not connected. I wonder if there is some conflict with this new Rogers modem and my old Ethernet switch?

Have you confirmed you previously configured the ISY to use a static IP?

If so, your ISY has a static IP on a completely different subnet from your new ISP gear. You need to use one of the methods above to change the ISY to use DHCP, or set a static IP, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS aligned with your new ISP gear.

If not, have you performed a network scan or logged into your new ISP gear to see what IP address was assigned? Or you may need to clear your Java cache to force the ISY launcher to stop looking for the old IP address.

Thx for all the assistance. I was able to find the IP address of my ISY and I am back up and running.  (Still having terrible house wifi trouble with this new Rogers modem, but that is another story)
