Posted May 7May 7 Since I have migrated, I have lost communication with about 5 devices. I have tried to restore device in dashboard, then deleted device and tried to re link and I get cant determine insteon engine. Has anyone else ran into this since migrating?
May 7May 7 Author garage door relay and 6 button keypad just shows green arrows. other stuff I know about. remotelinc is dead and heartbeats i no longer use
May 7May 7 Author The garage door is linked to 6 button keypad labeled side door. Cant get rid of the green arrows.
May 7May 7 The green arrows point to communication issues with the device. It might be that the keypad needs a factory reset (pull out tab and wait 10 seconds, push tab all the way and hold until it beeps). Then, restore device. The other method is to use the admin console in Linking Mode and go to the devices one at a time and press the set button quickly.. the devices will show up in the admin console and you follow the prompts there to finish You can right click on the remote linc and click delete device, but I'd do that after you get the keypad working

The devices I deleted wont add now. even if I do it manualy

May 7May 7 The 2450 I/OLinc is power line only communications. You may have some new power line issues. Like a signal sucker or power line noise maker. The trouble shooting link information may give some insight on what the problem maybe. It is also possible it has failed. As it has a switching power supply and the same capacitor issues we see in the 2413 PLM. I have seen different capacitors Smarthome tried to help but can't say exactly what yours may have,
May 7May 7 Author I tried to link with putting swit h to link and select link in dashboard. No goSent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
May 7May 7 To 'smoke test' the line noise theory... If the iolinc is one of the non-working devices, are you able to temporarily unhook it and plug it into the same outlet as the PLM and repeat the test?
May 7May 7 Author No, the switch link is in a 4 gang box. It worked prior to migrating. Just ordered another noise filterlincSent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
May 11May 11 Author Swapped out with a newer switch. Its working now. Maybe a coincidenceSent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
May 11May 11 If your previous switch was powerline only that would explain the marginal communications. The newer swirches have improved hardware and updated firmware.
