Craigb Posted Friday at 04:35 PM Posted Friday at 04:35 PM (edited) I tried to migrate from ISY994iPro v 5.3.4 to EISY v 5.9.1 today. I had major issues with most battery-powered zwave devices as I expected. However I am completely unable to get the EISY with Matter zwave to recognize and interact with my Schlage FE599 and BE369/399 locks. I've tried interview with secure inclusion on and off. No difference. I tried Synchronize -> Update - didn't work. I moved the EISY to within 8 inches of the lock. No difference. Reading the forums via search, I see several threads about this problem that are rather old. None had a solution as far as I could tell. Were the issues with Schlage locks with S0 security ever solved for use with EISY? For now I've reverted to the ISY994i. Edited Friday at 04:46 PM by Craigb Quote
Javi Posted Friday at 06:10 PM Posted Friday at 06:10 PM These locks are a pain, I documented it somewhere but don't recall if I published. Basically the lock requires you to follow setup instructions exactly, the biggest step missed my most users was after factory reset you need to manually enter one of the default codes so the lock goes into the locked position then again so it unlocks. Only after doing this will the lock add into eisy. Also the range during interview needed to be very close, like a few feet. 1 Quote
Craigb Posted Saturday at 01:43 PM Author Posted Saturday at 01:43 PM (edited) I do remember that the initial inclusion with the ISY was a bit of a challenge for these locks, but it did work. So to get these locks to migrate from ISY to EISY I have to exclude it from my ISY994i and then do a factory reset on the lock before adding it to the EISY? Is that what your reply says? When I loaded the data backup from the ISY into the EISY, all the zwave items came up with names (not placeholder) but had the red circle/slash icon for all the battery powered zwave devices (pretty much all of them). I did the Update and Interview on each one while waking up the device, and after several attempts on each device, they would eventually successfully interview and synchronize. The locks steadfastly refused to interview. The data in the Event Viewer on mode 3 is less than fully revealing as to what is going on in that process. When I turned off Secure inclusion on the EISY and then did the synchronize - Update and Interview for the FE599, one of the messages that came up in the event monitor (on setting 3) was "Mfr data not available". This makes me somewhat reluctant to remove the FE599 from my current ISY994i as once I do that, it will be impossible to quickly revert of the ESIY won't accept the lock for inclusion. As for the message "mfr data not available", I'd hope that the EISY would be intelligent enough to query an online database for needed info on legacy zwave devices for inclusion. wrj0 Posted Saturday at 02:56 PM Posted Saturday at 02:56 PM I too had problems migrating Schlage z-wave locks (BE469NX and BE369) from working fine on a Polisy to an eisy. Opened a ticked with UDI and was advised to: 1) Remove the BE469NX and factory reset it. 2) Z-Wave | Network | Interview Timeout and make sure its set to at least 1 minute 3) Z-Wave | Capture Log and start capturing the log 4) From Admin Console or UDMobile, add the device again 5) Stop capturing the log when adding the device has completed My Interview Timeout was set at 30 seconds before; after making that change and performing the factory reset on the locks, then trying to add the devices again, they both immediately registered with my eisy. Didn't have to submit the requested log as both locks registered and are now functioning OK with the eisy. 1 Quote
firstone Posted Saturday at 07:56 PM Posted Saturday at 07:56 PM I have 4 BE469ZP working fine with eISY and previously with Polisy. It prompts for code when enrolling. There was a bug initially but UDI had fixed it since, I believe. Quote
