sjenkins Posted September 19 Author Posted September 19 @GTench, interesting, I have it loading 60 & 600 on installation. I’ll have to look. the 60 is the update cycle for G2. please try that as it’s less likely to overload your gateway. Quote
GTench Posted September 20 Posted September 20 @sjenkinsI set both versions to 60 & 600. Still locks up loading wigets for scenes Quote
sjenkins Posted September 20 Author Posted September 20 @GTench, The logs look clean right now. I would suggest stopping all your plugins (not just the HD ones) and starting the AC. See if it starts well. If it doesn't then it is not a plugin issue, start looking at your plugins. Try an ISY reset. If it starts up fine then start turning the plugins on one by one until you have an issue. In each case see if you can turn the issue on/off. Get logs in both cases. Quote
GTench Posted September 21 Posted September 21 @sjenkinsOK sounded like a good idea. Stopped all plugins except the HD ones then started the AC. Still had the same problem. Did an update and reboot from the AC. Restarted the AC but still have the same issue Quote
GTench Posted September 21 Posted September 21 @sjenkinsI was thinking of biting the bullet and just install the beta version as a replacement for the production version and test it that way but first I thought I would see if I could manually operate the shades from the beta version in the AC; however, I noticed that the names are not correct now. Just wondering if you changed anything. Quote
GTench Posted September 21 Posted September 21 @sjenkinsJust a follow up. I tried manually opening and closing one of the shades from the AC using both the beta and production versions once I identified the shade using the number and that worked ok. Both beta and production were installed. I still cannot load programs with both beta and production installed. Quote
sjenkins Posted September 21 Author Posted September 21 @GTench, So sorry, I had not done a clean install in a bit & there was an error in the profile name for the "number of nodes" name. I need to do a clean install EVERY time I touch the profile files. They don't always effect you if you are installing on top of a node, but will on clean installs. I really would not run two of these plugins at the same time. Manually stop one before running the other. Not because of the EISY, but the gateway can get very grumpy in the G3 ; I imagine the G2 would only be more so being older technology. Its for sure ok to have many installed, ( I have four slots with different versions) just not running. Quote
GTench Posted September 22 Posted September 22 @sjenkinsOK thanks. No matter what I do/try I cannot get the AC programs tab to open if I have both the production and beta versions installed at the same time in different slots even with one or the other stopped - the AC just freezes; so I deleted the beta version and installed the beta version into the production slot. This seems to be working o.k. I can open the AC programs tab and a test of one of my programs worked successfully. I can also manually open and close a shade from the AC. I notice one of my shades battery status says "no status". All the other shades show battery status Quote
sjenkins Posted September 22 Author Posted September 22 @GTench, Well I appreciate your patience ; sorry I was not much help in understanding the issue. Glad it seems to be working now. I have seen before where a battery status has shown 'no status' for some period then returned. That could just be comms between the shades and the gateway. Does the app show the status? Does everything else update and trigger as expected? Quote
GTench Posted Tuesday at 03:23 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:23 PM @sjenkinsYes everything appears to be working normally. Thanks for your help. You were correct about the app. it did not show status either. I refreshed the battery status and it now appears in both the app and your plugin. I suspect the AC lockup issue that occurs with both plugin versions installed might just be a problem with the AC 1 Quote
sjenkins Posted Tuesday at 05:35 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 05:35 PM @GTench, Great to hear ; again thank you for working with me, I needed to know that G2 was working. My G3 system is pretty extensive with three gateways and 14 blinds of 4 different types, so it gets a pretty good test. Well I am going to move the beta to production and hopefully not blow up anyone's system Quote
GTench Posted Friday at 03:38 PM Posted Friday at 03:38 PM @sjenkins Glad to help. I was initially delaying testing because I thought IOX 6 was about to be released and I was hoping to install it first before testing. I installed your production version and it is working well. 1 Quote
