Michel Kohanim Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Hello everyone, I am happy to announce the availability of OS14.3 and IoX 6. This is a major release which upgrades your OS to 14.3. WARNING: If your FreeBSD OS is below 13.2p11 (you can check via https://eisy.local:8443/WEB/sysconfig.txt for eisy and https://polisy.local:8443/WEB/sysconfig.txt for polisy) please do not attempt the upgrade. It will brick your system. Instead, backup your IoX and PG3 and then eisy: reflash your eisy using our USB stick (https://www.universal-devices.com/product/eisy-reflash-usb-stick/) Polisy: get a new SSD for your Polisy (https://www.universal-devices.com/product/polisy-os-ssd/) Do NOT attempt the upgrade if you are remote to your eisy/polisy and/or using ISY Portal. Do NOT attempt the upgrade if you are on WiFi. Make sure you're connected to your router using Ethernet. This is a major OS Upgrade. Please do NOT touch the unit till it comes back online or you're prompted to reboot. If your eisy does not come back online after 2 hours, try Recovery options for eisy at the bottom of this post. Instructions: Backup your Z-Wave if any (Z-Wave | Backup) Backup your IoX (File | Backup IoX) Backup your PG3 Click on Upgrade Packages in Admin Console | Configuration tab. Do NOT use ssh as it will brick your system. Enhancements: eisyui is now the default interface HomeKit support is now installed by default Better WiFi and Bluetooth support Dynamic profiles for better plugin support Node property history is now on by default Fixes: mqtt disconnects causes plugins to stop working misc fixes for plugin support Recovery options for eisy: Almost all issues related to this upgrade seem to be related to an interrupted upgrade especially when using UD Mobile or when eisy is on WiFi. If your eisy does not come back online after 2 hours, please do this: Press/hold the power button -> red. Attach an HDMI monitor and USB keyboard to eisy, then click the power button -> blue. Watch the monitor. If you do not get a login prompt, please submit a ticket, with a picture of the screen. Otherwise Login using admin as login and admin as password Issue the following commands. If prompted for password, type admin sudo rm /var/udx/.udx_install_cleanup sudo rm /var/udx/.upgrade_status sudo pkg install -f isy sudo service udx restart Wait for two minutes sudo service isy status If it does not show running, then submit a ticket with a picture of the screen. Otherwise Your eisy should now be available in your IoX Launcher. If it is, launch the Admin Console, go to the Configuration tab and click on Upgrade Packages button again. Wait till completion or reboot. If eisy is still not available in your IoX Launcher, then: sudo dhclient re0 sudo service udx restart Wait for two minutes sudo service isy status If it still does not show up in IoX Launcher, submit a ticket 6 1

Home Assistant not starting up after upgrade: In order to support IPv6, /etc/rc.conf will be rewritten. If you had Home Assistant running, you might need to add the following lines in /etc/rc.conf: vm_list="homeassistant" vm_enable="YES" vm_dir="zfs:zudi/vms" eisy-ui with no status / Subscription not working With kind regards, Michel 2
