Restore PLM and Devices

Featured Replies

I am setting up 2 SSID's in my router. One is an IOT SSID and is new to the Eisy. My Insteon devices stopped working. I thought a restore of the PLM and devices would clear the problem. When I tried, I got an error [-200000 -30]. Is there any list of errors or does anyone Know what that error is?

Changing your LAN is different than the PLM. The PLM and Insteon devices are not internet TCP/IP protocol.

If you have programs on the eisy, they should have kept working.

However, if you can not control devices with UDM or Alexa, the problem is that the effective IOT VLAN you created has isolated the eISY from UDM or other internet device.

Let's start there and can you answer to the above assertions, assumptions on how you are attempting to control insteon

Ok. I will start seeing what the VLAN is saying.

If you can attach to the different networks, see if you can ping the eisy from the network the other devices are on.

If you can reach the eisy with a computer, bring up iox, go to the network tab and see what it says, are addresses what you expect

If you use the portal, login on one of your computer and tablets and see if it can see the eisy and what does it say about network, If it can't reach the eisy, the IOT VLAN/SSID is preventing it from seeing the internet.

I did this same sort of thing and it can be a slippery slope to get everything working the way you want
