Homekit plugin with Honeywell thermostat

Featured Replies

I have a nice Honeywell T10 thermostat that I have been using with the Honeywell Home plugin. The latter no longer seems to work. So, I am trialing the HomeKit plugin, as the Honeywell thermostat can be integrated with HomeKit. After installing the plugin, I went to the thermostat's HomeKit menu, which just shows a 2D barcode. Then, when I hit "Discover" the thermostat shows up as a node, but is unpaired. The thermostat never displays a pairing code to enter in the plugin's custom parameter. Any suggestions?

This thread is in the "Hue" forum. I am not sure how much of a difference that will make, but it certainly does not help.

My perception is that things at Honeywell have changed, rendering the Honeywell Home plugin non-functional. I also understand that the plugin is no longer supported by whoever does such things.

Regarding the HomeKit code, is it possible that this code is on a sticker somewhere on the thermostat? (The few HomeKit devices I have paired had such stickers and the instructions that came with them had the code printed somewhere.).

My guess you'll need to pull the stat off of its mounting plate and it will be there somewhere.
