August 18Aug 18 Good afternoon A question for the Braintrust. I was able to connect Eisy (matter plugin) directly to my Apple home hub (apple TV). It works and I can see the switches.I cannot however see the Scenes that I created. Any suggestions on how to accomplish that?Thank you
Wednesday at 09:06 PM2 days Author Bringing this topic up again now that Apple has announced HomeView - I really want Tobe able to send scenes over
Wednesday at 09:36 PM2 days You could use the Virtual plug-in to create "switches " that Apple sees, and write programs that trigger your scenes when the switches are turned on or off.
Wednesday at 11:43 PM2 days its been 1.5 years since the initial launch on EiSY would be nice to hear its future

In essence my scenes really do function like a switch - so thats a potential (not ideal ) solution for meThanks
Thursday at 04:48 PM1 day Well there is a plugin called "Virtual", which allows you to create virtual switches and dimmers. They appear as regular device nodes. If the Apple home connectivity works as I think it must, then these would appear as switches on your Apple system, and could be turned on and off by it.Then, you can write programs in your eisy that look for these virtual switches being turned on and off, and have it send a matching scene command. For example, if you create a virtual on/off switch called Virtual_basement_scene (pseudo programs):IF Virtual_basement_scene Status is ON Then Set Scene basement_lights OnIF Virtual_basement_scene Status is OFF Then Set Scene basement_lights Off
Thursday at 06:07 PM1 day Author to be clear these are all Insteon switches (I did not specify this earlier)
Thursday at 07:05 PM1 day Well the eisy supports multiple protocols with the appropriate interfaces (X10, Insteon, Zwave, zigbee, Matter). If the plugin exposes device nodes, then the technology behind those devices shouldn't matter.
Thursday at 09:08 PM1 day let me clarify. I believe it only supports Insteon switches. Not scenes, not Zwave, not zigbee etc
