10 hours ago10 hr Small update to my WLED nodeserver fork (v1.5.8, on GitHub at superflytnt/udi-wled-poly, installable from the Local store):You can now set an optional custom parameter heartbeat_url with a heartbeat/cron-monitor URL (UptimeRobot's heartbeat monitor type works well; free tier is fine). The plugin pings it once per minute at most - on every short poll, throttled to 60s so the monitoring service doesn't rate-limit you - and crucially it pings even when all your WLED controllers are off or unreachable. Why: the failure mode that actually bites is the plugin itself freezing or dying while PG3 still looks online. Device-off is normal and must not alert; plugin-dead must. This separates the two.Empty parameter = disabled, no behavior change.- Ping failures are logged as warnings and never interrupt polling or device control.- No other behavior changes in 1.5.7/1.5.8.To use it: update (stop/restart from the PG3 dashboard or reinstall from the Local store), then add heartbeat_url in the plugin's custom parameters with your monitor's URL.
